A Long Walk
I thought I would share this with all of you who enjoy our school walks with Dave Foster and anyone else who likes to get out and enjoy a day off the beaten track.  A friend of mine in England spent 93 days walking 1200 miles from John O'Groats Scotland to Land's End England this summer mostly by herself and occasionally meeting up with old school friends along the way.  She sent a short synopsis of her trip which I have included as an attachment.

George for mayor of Sooke
Just imagine that you are going to become mayor (of this I am very confident after seeing your web site) on my 63rd birthday!!!
As to being 'Farfar' it is a completely different world, especially as I am sleeping with a grandmother every night! This comes as a bit of a shock!
All is well in Denmark, even though our son, his fiancé (and our grandaughter) have moved to the other end of the country 260 km away from us. We are also having local elections next week. We have had a reform with the whole regional or provincial structure (called an amt for those who do crosswords) so there is a fair bit of uncertainty with who goes where.
All the best and I'll be rooting from afar for George.

From Afar
Thanxz, Don for your wishes. I, too am about to become a grandfather for the first time. Anytime, now. It'll be a nice cap to go along with being a mayor (I hope) and a Granddad, but my Grandson will be some 5000 km away, in Montreal.
Nice to hear from you.
