"Our Tsawwassen Longhouse Gallery is open until 5pm every day until August 27th, as we have an international juried art show there with 76 entries. It's located on the main street into Tsawwassen and is kitty corner to MacDonalds." |

Hi Everyone: In one week, the site has had 230 visitors! Nice to hear from you who have emailed me. It's really fun to do something that is a passion which simmered for years while I was teaching life got in the way, so perhaps I'll leave some little piece of myself behind for people to view. |

Janet Vining
|
VINING, Janet E.M. (Hambly) Danced onto this earth February 5, 1917, The day of her birth. Number five of six children, With three sisters and two brothers, Janet was special, She would be like no other. Alberta born and raised, She went on to become a teacher. Then with the meeting of a man named Charles Her life's love had reached her. They married and made plans, Life is always a test. Soon family and their business called And the couple moved out west. They worked together with her Mom & Dad, Partners in a grocery store. Then on to the Brite Spot Drive-In, Janet learned to make the pies she was known for. In the midst of all this enterprise They were blessed with Jim, their son And life became musical, There was no end to the fun. Janet loved country music, Dancing was her favourite thing to do. She loved flowers and her garden, She was a great contributor too. At Oak Bay High & Claremont, Janet was a teacher again. She taught business education and typing, Organization was her claim to fame. A daughter, sister, wife and mother, Friend and neighbour, teacher and grandmother too, Janet's smile, her warmth and kindness, Would always welcome you. August 20, 2005, Janet's dance on this earth came to an end. She is now dancing with the angels Just around the bend. Although we can not see her, She is never far apart. For those that knew and loved her, She still dances in our hearts. Tea for Janet, Saturday August 27th, 2005 Summergate Village Centre, Sidney 1 3 p.m. Flowers gratefully declined. 137374 |
