David Foster has been leading a monthly walking group of many of these hardy souls (soles?), but we haven't met formally as a reunion committee for some time. |
There have been some emails flying about that we should get together again this year for our 45th year reunion. Also in the mix is the fact that the High School is celebrating their 75th anniversary at the Cranmore Street location (evidently the High School was located on Oak Bay Avenue prior to moving to Cranmore). |
The general consensus around the table was that we should dovetail our activities into the celebrations that the High School is putting on, plus do some other event(s) on our own. The High School celebrations are on the May 05-08, 2005 weekend, so mark that on your calendar. |
Our first task is to find out the details of what the High School is planning so we can plan around it. The High School is putting on an information meeting at 7:00 pm on Thursday, February 3, at the school. I plan to attend and pick up an information package. If anyone else would like to attend and/or volunteer for the school celebrations, you would be very welcome. |
At our next meeting, noon, Friday, Feb. 25, at the Snug, we will put together a tentative program with some options to circulate to everyone for feed-back. |
I hope this finds everyone well, and we are all looking forward to rekindling old acquaintances and friends. |
Cheers
Peter

Walk to Snug Friday the 25th |
Hi All, |
I'm sure you all have Friday on your calendar. For those who plan to walk, I've had a request to begin at 10:30 this month. Hope that works for everyone. Should allow a longer "settling in" before lunch. I expect we will arrive about 11:15. |
Let's begin at Cattle Point in the lot above the Esplanade at 10:30. We'll be retracing our steps this time but anyone who doesn't want to walk both ways can probably pick up a ride from one of the lunch only crowd. |
I'll also bring the Saanich News article re. the 75 year celebration. It's worth a look if you haven't seen it. |
I'll reserve for 10 but expect more. See you there. |
