June 15 / Graduation
While listening to a woman sing "You'll Never Walk Alone", I was reminded of our graduation. We were herded into some room by some teacher and were encouraged to learn "You'll etc" and some other song. I remember attending only two practices and deciding that I probably knew it all by then; I know that we were threatened with not being permitted to sing if we weren't present at all practices. So I was a little nervous on the "Big Night" that maybe the words had been changed just to embarrass those who did not show up to ALL PRACTICES. But, nope, words and music were the same as on the first day – thank goodness!
Also, my graduation dress had been made by Miss Vickers who was a relative of some distant relative of mine. She sat across from me at the dinner and stared at my dress the whole time, a very humiliating experience for a seventeen-year-old!!
Any other graduation memories?????

GRADUATION SONG QUIZ
Roz mentioned we had to sing "You'll Never Walk Alone" and one other song. What was the other song?

June 16 / Other Song
This is really a guess, but wasn't it Ava Maria? I seem to remember singing that in grade 9, and it never went away, but reappeared every year, until I began to think it was a national song. Anyway, it didn't hurt us, and kept us off the streets.

June 17 / Oh my God!
I didn't even remember we sang "Storm.." at graduation let alone the second song!! I don't ever remember learning that at school. The only song I remember learning was from Junior High... O Holy Night.
Looking forward to the weekend!

June 18 / Birthday Celebration
We are approaching the end of our European vacation and are presently in Holland. We will be returning to Canada on the 23rd June, and unfortunately will miss the OBHS Re-union activities. Please say hello from Jill (Boorman) to everyone if you remember, and hope there will be another re-union soon in the future.
Have fun everyone,
Jill

June 18 / Grad Song
The other song now very politically incorrect was "Stout Hearted Men." We may have been stout hearted then but more of us are "stout"
See you on the 22nd.

Chat line closed for a few days. See you at the reunion – Gary

June 23 / Grad Song
You guys!! The other song, as I recall, was Jesu Joy of Man's Desiring. How else would I remember the alto part? I think Janice Hickman played the piano, but I am probably wrong on that one.
IT WAS GREAT TO SEE YOU ALL...some new mates who weren't with us two years ago – glad you could make it – and what a venue! So glad we could all make it. Once again, thanks to Craig and Deb, that wonderful committee, Dick for all his communications work, and especially to Gary for his work on this site!
See you next time.
Love, Sandy

June 26 / Reunion Photos
Hi all
I have just perused the interim photos and hate very much to admit that I recognized only a few of the classmates from '60. Going to school for many years, being in the same home room and occasionally bumping into people over the years has not helped much at all. So many that I knew well are now unrecognizable, sorry guys and gals. I hope I would have had better luck meeting you all in person. Wish now that I could have been there, I know I would have enjoyed seeing you again. I really hate to say so, but the only picture of any one I put a name to immediately was Tom Miles. Apologies to Paul Lawrance, Lee Gould, Phil Johnston etc, etc. If any of you happen to travel through the OK Valley please stop by and refresh my failing memories.
