We've found a new class member Dick Kirk. Dick was in Div 6 but, for whatever reason, his grad picture didn't appear in our yearbook. He's in our grad class photo that was taken in the gym. His bio is now online. Gary |

April 4 / Too Many Unanswered Questions |
Hi again from Summerland where today's temperature is 17 C in the shade |
Many questions come to mind reading the chat and looking through Dick Goodall's '59 and '60 Oak Leaves which he has kindly mailed to me as mine were ruined by water damage. |
About 30 years I was reading a collection of short Sci-Fi stories and came across a story by an ex-student of OBH. Can't remember his name but he wrote about a character name of Isher Fosterwood. What I cannot recall is whether or not the author's name was Foster??!! Can anyone help? |
Also, does anyone have a recent email address for Gloria (Manson) Knudsen?? |

April 5 / Isher Fosterwood |
Hey Dick, I don't know if this helps but there is a lawyer here in Victoria by the name of Foster Isherwood, about our age I would think. Maybe this will help as you track the thing down! |

April 7 / The Isherwoods |
Hey Dick, glad you finally made it onto this site. |
The Isherwoods were a well known Victoria family - several brothers including Foster who was just a little older than John who was a year ahead of us at OBHS. John married Mary Ross, Sandra's older sister. Sadly, John died in a tragic vehicle accident out here near Brentwood Bay some years ago. His son, Ross, lives just around the corner from me. |
Hope to see you in June?? Bring your 5th wheel. |

April 7 / Rick Cooper |
Whatever became of Rick Cooper? Has anyone seen or heard from him? The last I saw of him was at Vic College '60/'61. About the time he rolled his VW in his driveway. |

April 8 / John and Foster Isherwood |
Hi Phil |
It's been fun snooping around this site, hope it stays active. |
How's your Farsi these days, bet you forgot most of it. Do you still play the slide trombone? I remember both of the Isherwoods, our lockers were close together. My query about the Sci-Fi story had to do with a character named Isher Fosterwood which is Foster Isherwood turned inside-out. At the time I read the story I recognized the author's name but have fogotten it and was curious as to who may know who it was. I've been through the lists in both the '59 and '60 Oak Leaves and can't jog my memory but I am sure it was a student of our time. |
Sorry to hear about John, I remember Sandra but not Mary Ross. I don't think we can make the trip in June, all of you just go ahead and have a great time. More later Phil. |

I am a current student at Oak Bay, and I am on the Students' Council. I am working on recovering the history of the council, and I would like to know if any of you know anything about the Students' Council that was around when you went to Oak Bay, or even how it got started. Any help you could give would be greatly appreciated. Please email me at rockstar_material@hotmail.com |

April 27 / Ron Edmonds |
The one thing that brought Ron close to me was that he served with and knew my father overseas before he was killed in '45. I only wish that I had spent some time with Ron to hear some of the experiences he had with Dad. |

They are quite lovely, congratulations on your show! I am in awe of anyone who can put a brush to canvas and create something wonderful. |

Great work Laurel. Your paintings are wonderful and I certainly wish I could capture images on canvas the way you do. Regretfully the best I can do is ruin a perfectly good piece of paper. |

Thanks, Ron, for sending a card on our behalf. We were lucky to have many good teachers at OBHS, weren't we? Are we inviting any to Craig's? |
Looking forward to seeing all who'll be there... |

May 2 / Mall Show |
Thanks for the fine feedback on my watercolors - done on paper, only the boats is on canvas. Many fine artists exhibit in Tsawwassen -- one had a painting accepted by the Prince Charles Canadian Watercolor collection, many exhibit at the Canadian Federation of Artists on Granville Island. The show is on the main street into Tsawwassen -- in the first Mall (right side of the road). Many pictures will be in the Center for the Visual Arts on the main drag, too -- across from MacDonald's. Hope you'll drop in for a look, as it's worth a visit. |
