My daughter is one of the writer-actors and is looking for accommodations in Victoria for that month. She would have her daughter with her with occasional visits from her husband and son. Would anyone have a place they would like housesat during the month of August or rental at a low rate? Easy access to the Belfry by bike or walking? Thanks for considering it. We hope that David et al might organise a walk while we are there. What about Friday, May 5?? It would be great to catch up with some of the alumni! We are staying with Diane and Ken Bryden in Vancouver before going to the Island, and hope to catch up with Martha Baker, too. We will also be staying at the Oak Bay Beach Hotel on May 8 and 9...which suggests a get-together in the Snug, perhaps, on one of those evenings? In any case, hope to see some of the classmates... The Victoria contingent will catch the 9am ferry and pull into Vancouver about 11:30 — so here's the deal: 12:00-12:15 We'll all meet on Granville Island in front of the Granville Island Brewery. (No, sorry, this is not our destination.) 12:15 We'll head east and walk along the seawall to Stamps Landing Pub 12:45-2:30 Lunch, recollections, and pictures of grandkids at Stamps Landing Pub 2:30 Walk back along the seawall to Granville Island. The Victoria contingent will probably catch the 5 pm ferry home. It would be helpful to know which of our Vancouver mates will be joining us so I can make a reservation.
