Exhibitions of Laurel's Work
JANUARY SHOW: In the Longhouse, the students at South Delta Secondary have written a story or poem, and teamed up with an artist, who illustrated the work. I participated .... and it was a difficult assignment. Stretched to the limit here.
FEBRUARY SHOW: Joint show with two other artists, Faith Love-Robertson and Eileen Fong in the Longhouse. Click here to view poster

Mr. Mercer's 1960 trip to Europe
Hi all,
We have recently had a good visit in Paris with Connie Ballam Vanesse and her husband Mathias. It included a lovely weekend in Burgundy. Connie and I were reminiscing about the 1960 BCSTA trip to Europe, and wondered if we could start a group recollection on this site?!
I recall staying in Venice in a convent (was that just the girls?) in which every nun seemed to be no taller than five feet. I was in Venice in September but couldn't remember where that convent was...does anyone recall?
Also remembered developing a life-long obsession with nocciola gelato, which satisfied many times in Sept/Oct in Venice and other Italian places. Do you remember going to see My Fair Lady in London, and Fidelio at the Paris Opera? What else, fellow travellers??
Cheers, Sandy (McKeachie) and Rob Forbes

'60s trip
I remember My Fair Lady and all the amazing pastries along the way. Also Austria with the comfortable beds as opposed to that dreadful hostel in Germany.
