Missing the Chat |
My computer died last February, so all my email contacts (and the web site) were toast. I bought a "Click Free" which will download everything and readjust in a few minutes when you do it each week. If I lose it again, I can plug this device in and all will be restored on any new computer. I'm sure other devices also do this. |
Happy new year to you all. I have survived breast cancer, and now have my curly hair back thicker than ever. Good health to everyone, especially Dave, and anyone else going through challenges. |
I was in Victoria Sunday to attend a memorial for Lynn Ramsay's mother who died at aged 91 on December 27th . |
Cheers ... |

In Memoriam |
|
Colin William Marmo died Sunday in Ottawa after a lengthy illness. It was his wish that the Class of 60 be notified. Further details regarding a memorial service to be announced. |
Colin retired a few years ago after a long military career and lived alone in Ottawa where he engaged in a hobby of raising tropical birds. When we had our first reunion in 2000, we were able to convince Colin to attend and for this he was very grateful because he not only was able to visit with old school friends again but to also see his father for the last time. |

Colin |
I spent time with Colin during our class reunion of 2000 as we walked through the school together. Despite his focussed and commited career in the military and national defence, he made the effort to join us and thoroughly enjoyed touching base with the school and his classmates. Upon returning home to Ottawa he sent an email expressing the good time he had at the reunion. |

Gail Jolly's Husband |
Today I heard via Judy Lowe that Gail's husband died in November 2008. Gail and Don had been married a good long time, enjoying their combined lives and having 4 sons (all names beginning with a D) and living in White Rock. |
Gail and I were very good friends and have sent/received cards every christmas for all these years. Wondered why we hadn't had one in 2008, thought maybe they were on a big world-wide cruise or something like that. |
So sorry Gail, becoming a widow will be hard for you. Hope to see you in Victoria this summer for a walk! |

Hello from Denmark |
I haven't seen 'our' website in a while and wondered if it had been discontinued, but Richard replied to a mail that I sent after announcement concerning Colin Marmo so I'm back! |
All is well here with our daughter 1.5 km away and our son bought a house 250 meters from us so our two grandchildren (Our son's kids) are very close by. It is a bit of a luxury even in a country as small as Denmark. |
Are any of you on Facebook? I have looked for a group but not seen any. If you become friends with me you will see a lot of Danish which might be kind of fun. |
