October 7 / Thanks to Committee |
Thanks to the continuing committee for organising the dates for next year's Class of '60 turns 60 get-together, and to Dick for notifying us...I have also passed on word to some others who were with us at school over the years but whose faces do not appear in the 1960 yearbook. I think it will be gracious to invite those who drifted away from the Oak Bay scene for one reason or another. We would love to see them, too. |
Looking forward to seeing y'all again. |

October 12 / Me too |
Haven't chatted for a long while. I echo Sandy in thanking the good folks who are planning our 60th b-day bash. It is on my calendar, and am looking forward to it very much. This year is flying by, and has in general been a busy and stressful one. Lots of change even before the events of 9/11. Change exterior in the conditions and circumstances of my parents and children, and change interior for myself. I lovingly call it "growth"..guess it's a forever thing. I am grateful for my immediate friends and close family and also for all of you. There is something so comforting about finally linking up with those from my beginnings. Peace to you all, and much love. |

October 18 / Walk to Lunch - October 26 |
Hi All it's walk time again!!
|
We meet at the West Bay Marina parking lot at 11:00 am, Friday, Oct 26. The parking lot holds a dozen or so cars. We'll walk the "railway route" to the Johnson St. bridge, then along the Songhees shore route to Spinnaker's. Anyone wanting a shorter walk could join us at the bridge about 20 past 11. The return trip is shorter. We will walk the shore route back to the Marina. (about 20 minutes) Don't forget this is an "organizational meeting" for our 60th birthday. Spread the word. |
RSVP please. It helps if we know you're expected. If you're planning the shorter route, let us know. |
