THE 33¢ QUESTION
These are very practical objectives, but is achieving them worth 33 cents a day to your club? |
FREE TEST DRIVE
To help you answer this question, we offer a free, two-week "test drive" of our internationally-acclaimed animated lawnbowls tutorial on your club website. This will give your club executive and members a chance to evaluate its potential in helping you achieve these objectives. If you wish, we'll add your club name and club email address to the tutorial pages to "personalize" your test drive. There's no charge for this service. And then, if you like what you see and wish to keep the tutorial on your website, it's just a matter of the licensing fee, as the tutorial is already in place. If you decide against licensing, simply remove the tutorial from your website. |
This 3-step process is really very simple. Here's how it works . . . |
1.
The "Test Drive" Tutorial |
Simply download test_drive.zip to your computer. This file is a folder that contains a single web page, test_drive.html. Once downloaded to your computer, you'll need to unzip test_drive.zip to access test_drive.html. It's a small file, only about 4 kb, but it contains the entire animated tutorial package. |
At this point, the tutorial can be test driven 2 ways: |
Desktop test drive |
Website test drive |
Desktop Test Drive |
Once test_drive.html is on your desktop, you just double-click on its icon and the tutorial will open in your web browser. You can even email copies of test_drive.html to other committee members for viewing on their desktops. It's that easy as long as the computers are connected to the internet. (The address seen in your web browser address window indicates that the tutorial resides on your computer.) |
Website Test Drive |
Uploading test_drive.html to your club website puts the tutorial on your website. It can be placed anywhere on your site, so locate it where you'd like it. It's that simple! Use your web browser to access this page and evaluate/enjoy the tutorial. (The address seen in your web browser address window now indicates that the tutorial resides on your website.) |
You'll probably test drive the tutorial both ways: on your desktop when you first receive it; and on your website to help visualize the possibilities. |
2.
The "Personalized" Test Drive Tutorial |
If you wish to evaluate a "personalized" test drive, please use this form to provide us with the following information: |
The name of your club |
The email address of your club |
The address of your club website |
The address where test_drive.html will be located on your website |
There's no cost or obligation for personalizing your test drive. By providing this information your test drive will be personalized in the following ways: |
The name of your club will appear on the Tutorial and Comments pages |
Your club email address will appear on the Tutorial and Comments pages |
The "Home Page" button will be linked to your home page |
In addition to the above, you'll be able to: |
Submit sample comments, copies of which will be forwarded to your club email address |
Monitor the popularity of the Tutorial and Comments pages on a Hit Counter Log |
After "personalizing" your test drive with the information you provide, we'll send you your personalized test_drive.html file as an email attachment. You simply upload this new file to your website to replace the old file. (By using the same file name, any bookmarks made during this evaluation period will remain intact.)You'll have another two weeks (from the date of this email) to test drive the personalized tutorial and decide if you wish to license it. If you decide against licensing, simply remove test_drive.html from your website. After two weeks the link will be disconnected at our server, where the tutorial actually resides, in which case we thank you for giving it a test drive. |

The Licensed Tutorial |
By now you've given the tutorial a good test drive and are probably delighted with its looks and reliability. It's showtime! |
To license the tutorial package, just contact us licensing@webturf.com and we'll email you the billing information. Once we receive your remittance we'll email your licensed tutorial tutorial.html which will replace test_drive.html on your website. Please advise us if the tutorial is re-located on your website. |
Then, just sit back and enjoy the feedback you'll be receiving! |
COMMENTS PAGE Tutorial comments submitted from your club website are directed to both you and us here at webTurf. Once the tutorial is licensed on your club, we'll add these comments to the Comments page. There's no charge for this updating. |
Initially your Comments page will contain comments the tutorial has already generated but, over time, these will be replaced by tutorial comments submitted from your website. |
LICENSING FEE The licensing fee is $120/year (33¢/day), payable in Canadian funds. This is your only cost. There is no contract or commitment. You may cancel at any time. |
BILLING Licensing is based on the calendar year calculated at $10/month. For example, if your first billing month is May, your payment of $80 will license the tutorial for the remaining eight months of the calendar year, until December 31. In December you will be billed $120 for the upcoming calendar year. |
SATISFACTION GUARANTEED
This goes without saying, because we invite you to evaluate the tutorial on your club website before licensing. This gives you and your club members every opportunity to give it a thorough test drive and be totally satisfied with its performance and appearance. We want you to be more than satisfied, we want you to be delighted with the tutorial. |
